by James Hobdy; composition and typography by Crystal Wood. The illustration is acrylic on canvas, and is based on a medieval stained glass window found in a reference work on heraldry. Jim added the particular blazon of the coats-of-arms mentioned in the story, as well as the whimsical cowboy hat and other Texas imagery. The spine and back cover are black, and the back cover copy is in a block of the same "stained glass" as on the front. |
